The Alaskan Outpost will be at SenshiCon in Anchorage this year! Come by our booth (#501) to say hi or ask any questions you have on joining or about the 501st legion! We hope to see you there!
The 501st is breaking new ground to support the 501st Legion Make-A‐Wish Endowment Fund. To raise funds for Make-A-Wish, we have opened our t-shirt sales to the public for the first time. Now you can show your support for Make-A-Wish by buying your own official 501st Legion t-shirt!
A minimum of $5 from each shirt will be donated directly to the 501st Legion Make-A-Wish Endowment Fund. As the number of shirts increases, so does the amount per shirt that is donated. 1000 shirts will increase the donation to $10 per shirt, for a total donation of $10,000 USD!
You can buy your 501st t-shirt and support Make-A-Wish at http://www.booster.com/501st

The Alaskan Outpost attended the Science Friday event at the Juneau Public Library and made many new friends!
Come see and cheer on some of the Alaskan Outpost members at the Relay for Life this weekend. Friday June 5 and Saturday June 6 at Riverbend Elementary School.
Event Starts at 6PM and ends at noon.
In just two hours of photo-taking we raised $79.00 for Big Brothers Big Sisters!
Not bad considering that we ran out of toner for the printer just 2 pictures into the troop and even after sending a handler out to find some, it turns out there are no toner cartridges sold in this town for my little printer. So I gathered email addresses and mailing addresses to handle all those that were waiting (and bowling) for their photos.
Thank goodness everyone was really nice about this. And I'm ordering a case of toner before our next troop!

Please join us at this great community event held in Pioneer Park. Join us for a photo on the Death Star!

- "Halloween Trick or Treat Town is an event that transforms 40 acres of the historical Pioneer Park into a whimsical, family friendly 'spook' tacular town.
Fun for all ages!
While entertaining and fun is the theme, the focus is on Halloween Safety for children and their families.
Nothing gory or horrific will anyone see. the theme is be spooky whimsical, and rated PG.
The lights and decorations will be strung as Pioneer Park will be transformed into our very own 'fang'tastical" Halloween Town.
A wonderful brew of volunteers and local business who will unite to create a safe and magical theme park atmosphere for all the little goblins and ghouls.
This event helps meet the goals of many local nonprofits through concession, entertainment, and sales. The final proceeds go even further to support the Rebuild of the University West Park.
